2023-07-05 02:10:19 +0000 UTCFair enough. For me, my tolerance of accents weigh on how much I enjoy the actor’s performance. I don’t even mind Dick Van Dyke’s cockney accent in Mary Poppins because he had so much charm in the film. And in Ever After, she stands up for her loved ones, freakin decks her evil stepsister (seriously, chef’s kiss, right there) and saves herself from her abuser. I get what the live action Disney version was trying to go for, and that Cinderella was ready to give up her freedom for the prince, but it still kind of irked me that she literally did nothing to get herself out of the tower, she only escaped because the mice pushed the window open and Kit heard her singing. That said, I really did like Kit and the relationship he had with his father.
