DIRECTOR'S CUT: Therapist Reacts to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK

Licensed therapist Jonathan Decker and filmmaker Alan Seawright take a look at what makes Indiana Jones such an iconic character - heroic, adventurous, barely escaping, punching nazis. Was it being created by George Lucas? Directed by Steven Spielberg? Portrayed perfectly by Harrison Ford? Why is this the perfect movie? Is Indiana Jones the perfect character? Back when Jonathan and Alan were kids, Indiana Jones was Marvel!

But his character traits we can learn the most from are his resilience and adaptability.

You'll find out in a couple of weeks, is all I'm saying.

How happy are you now Alan with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? They killed off the horrible nightmare of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and redeemed themselves! My husband and I were SO happy to get to take our kids (10 and 13) to an Indiana Jones movie in the theater. We all left that theater so excited, wanting more. (It also seemed to me they're getting ready to pass the baton from Indi to Helena. 🤔)

I never understood what problem does everyone have with kingdom of crystal skull, I loved how it felt familiar but also new thanks to time jump, older Indy and soviets instead of nazis. To me it absolutely held up next to older ones.
