DIRECTOR'S CUT: Movie Couples Therapy: PETER PARKER and MJ from SPIDER-MAN

What does it take to make a relationship work? And can you have a healthy relationship after going through a rough patch?

Licensed therapist Jonathan Decker and filmmaker Alan Seawright take a look at the relationship between Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) from director Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man Trilogy, to see what struggles they had in their relationship, and what would have helped them work through them. It's couples therapy for Peter and MJ! And they definitely would have needed it after all they went through... from Peter having a hard time expressing his feelings and telling the truth, to their on-again-off-again-dating-his-best-friend thing, to him being genuinely awful to her in Spider-Man 3. Jonathan gives some tips that we can all use in our relationships, Alan geeks out about the camera work and score, and they get trolled by the editor over who's the best Peter Parker.

Alan... I also am a tool. I was watching The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe for the first time since becoming a film student and during the scene after the battle with the Pevensie group hug, I was watching it going 'wow, how did they get the shots of all of them? Were those different takes? Wow, those kids did a real good job acting there!!' Anyway, sometimes you just can't shut your filmmaker switch off...or is that just me? Please tell me it's not because I desperately want to feel like a normal person not just some alien with ADHD and anxiety!!
