DIRECTOR'S CUT: Therapists React to MAD MAX FURY ROAD with guest Dr. Imani Walker

They talk about Immortan Joe's narcissism, controlling and abusive behavior, and gaslighting. And they take a look at Furiosa's journey to find healing and redemption, and how helping rescue the brides and learning to trust other people like Mad Max (Tom Hardy) was part of that journey for her. Furiosa and the brides go on a literal journey away from their abuser, and then to face him head on, representing their emotional journey of healing from abuse.

Welp. This made me cry and is now also now my most favorite episode. While this didn't make me laugh near as much as other episodes, or gave me the warm and fuzzies, I love the content and the open conversation about sexual trauma. I am so glad that I have been diving back into your archives to come across these episodes. I will happily share this episode with the many others that I know who have also suffered from sexual trauma. Thank you, guys, for all the work you have done and continue to do.
