I saw a recent interview with Matthew McFadyen, where he tells that was very nervous to play Darcy, because he felt he wasn’t handsome enough o.O But as all the comments for that video said, they might also have been what gave his performance that endearing quality; a feeling that most of it is a facade to protect a very soft center 💚

Gotta say it again: Dream casting - Alan as Mr Bennet. That last cry/laughing scene - perfection. 🩷

Ana Bulat

One of the things that I'm really loving about watching these is gaining awareness in filming techniques. I never considered how impressive that one shot was of them dancing, and now I'll never be able to watch it without thinking about how much talent that took. Thank you for pointing things like that out!

Beautiful film ❤️ that long shot of him just walking is gorgeous. However, if I were the actor, all I would be thinking is, “don’t fall, don’t fall, don’t fall.” 😬

Flove this movie! For all the reasons everyone lists. I can (and do) watch it over and over and still find something new to see, realize, enjoy. Just perfection.
