Personality types can help you better understand yourself and others, resolve conflict, and connect with people.

These lessons will walk you through the four major personality types, help you identify your personality type, and learn what motivates each one.

RELATIONSHIP COURSE: Personality Types

Oh, yay! I hadn't seen that you found the video! Honestly, your numbers are all fairly close, so I think that checks with you having quite a bit of Dreamer within you, still. It just may be something that you're more comfortable showing to those whom you trust 😊.

SaucyJTD

Very interesting! I scored as follows: 33 Healer, 39 Closer, 43 Thinker, 55 Dreamer. After listening to the video, I think I agree with how I scored. However, I’m not sure Dreamer is as accurate being so much higher than the rest. I’m an introvert (extroverted introvert) and I feel like most of the survey had very extroverted options for Dreamers, so I tended to score that one least like me. But there’s definitely a lot of Dreamer in me in the form of fun, child-like enthusiasm. I also find it fascinating that my Healer is balanced out by my Closer (which seem like opposites right?). I’m not very sensitive although I’m very empathetic, and I give tough love in the least harsh way possible. But still, I’m very: “Quit crying, get back at it, and all will be ok, I promise! I’ll support you just stop being so sensitive!” haha All in all, I see a lot of Closer in me and a lot of Healer both of which have balanced each other out to where Closer is less harsh and Healer is less offended/walked on.

For future reference, mrwishart shared a quick way to know if your results are counted correctly! All the final numbers should add up to 170. I added mine together incorrectly the first time 🤣. I thought I was more Closer, but my Thinker is actually tied, like so: Thinker - 43 | Healer: 20 | Dreamer - 64 | Closer: 43 ❤️

For me, this is THE BEST video ever! Being a "perfect" Thinker, but a very goal oriented person, what I hate about myself the most is not getting into action. And the truth is, I actually know exactly how to make tons of money, love myself, have perfect health and relationships and more, the plan IS PERFECT, but I'm still procrastinating, keep looking for the next piece of knowledge to make myself even smarter, not realizing that I'm so smart, I'm actually dumb for not acting on it! Thank you Jono, and Alan and both your wives) for being the avatar!

On healers learning/working, I'm a healer and I always struggled to motivate myself to study hard at school. Once I got into work, and could connect what I was doing to other people, I became more motivated and hard working than anyone else in my office.

Johnny

Wow, I got Thinker at 28 and Healer at 29. It so fits me it's insane. My Myers Brigg personality type is ENTP, but I'm not Tony Stark ENTP, more like Tyrion Lannister ENTP, funny, intelligent but compassionate, understanding. This test is far more intuitive.

Jackie Frankovich

Interesting: Healer (35)/Thinker (42). I'm a lawyer, but truthfully, I always consider myself as a "counselor". My job is to think logically and critically about helping people through some of the worst most stressful times of their lives. I'm a problem-solver. I guess it just surprises me that the healer personality would be so profoundly dominant in me. Perhaps I should have practiced medicine instead of law? Cool test.

Lynettra

Correct. It's just a guide.

Cinema Therapy

I figured out how to add it up! This is more of a guild correct? I feel like my personality is more Dreamer/Healer, but my test results are Healer/Thinker.

Elliot Summer

Each prompt (question) has four options. Rank those options from 1 (most like you) to 4 (least like you). Then at the end add up all the A's, all the B's, etc.

Cinema Therapy

I think I did it wrong. How do you add up your scores? I tried it and my numbers were in the single digits. Where did you get double digits for each when there are only 17 questions?

Elliot Summer

Perfect, got it. Dreamer 36, Healer 41, Thinker 45 and Closer 48. I'm surprised that healer is my secondary personality, thought it would be thinker. Still, they're all quite close to each other, and as some thinkers above mentioned it may be a question of the standard deviation from the classification I would get from a more extensive questionnaire. 🤓

Jan Sapper

That was helpful!

Stephenie Zoé Vee Siegmann

That personality test is fun. My scores are A = 39, B= 39, C = 46 and D = 46. I did not cheat! I very honestly placed the numbers. So this means, I am primarily a Thinker-Healer and then as well a Dreamer-Closer. That makes sense. :-)

Where can I get the PDF?

Jan Sapper

DEFINITELY a thinker, LOL

Cinema Therapy

I'm thinker/closer and did about the most on-brand thing I could have done by recording and scoring on a simple Excel spreadsheet 🤣🤣🤣 A-D on X axis, question number on the Y axis, and numeric values for the answers. Add a sum at the bottom to help eliminate human error. And now you can also! What can I say except, You're Welcome 💪

Angie

Thinker!

I kept thinking about this and I just realized what a gold mine it is. At work, one of the questions we ask every person we interview is 'What would you like your reputation to be on the team?' We absolutely always get a variation on one of four answers, and I think they map one-to-one to these types. We hear a) I want to be the person who knows that answer and you can rely on for information about what's going on; b) I want to be the go-to person you can count on to get stuff done; c) I want to be a compassionate person who will always listen and make time for people; or d) I want to be a great teammate who brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm to everything do. I'm definitely going to go back through my interview notes over the last year and see how good a predictor it is for the people we hired.

JollyLlama

Totally a Thinker/Closer here (and this is probably a Thinker thing to say but I didn't need the quiz to tell me that-- I have already reconciled that my personality is better suited to a computer than a person). To share an actual experience-- my company engaged a leadership coach and part of it was one-on-one coaching. She asked me what our goal was for the conversation. My response was along the lines of 'I get the feedback from my employees that I don't value them as people. I actually do value them but don't know how to demonstrate that. It really bothers me that they don't see that and I want to do better but I don't know how... [insert three minutes of research I came to the meeting prepared with explaining why it is important for my employees to know I care about them as people.] Any advice?" The coach literally started her response with 'You could have stopped with 'it bothers me'." I keep trying to remember that. My pile of evidence is actually counterproductive when I'm trying to convince people I care about them as people.

JollyLlama

Jonathan, we have similar results (Thinker=38, Healer=39)!!! I am also a Therapist (LPCC in Kentucky) who has ADHD...enough said.

Kitty Boom

"Though as I Thinker I'm kind of suspicious about the scientific merits of this classification." LOL As a follow thinker, I am wondering what the standard deviations for this quiz is..

Karrie

Save time for later...Hmm Closer? Hehe

J. Page

Thinker/Closer...and um, I guess I have a lot of room to grow into the other 2? Woot! Achievement goal! (Oops, still Closer. My bad.)

J. Page

Eh, well a personality test is going to have some objective issues, but maybe because one's personality is extremely context dependent to begin with. A thing can be accurate and not necessarily scientifically rigorous. Science/the scientific method is really just a set of procedures and a way of interacting with/observing the world.

J. Page

Healer & dreamer huhm i expected healer but the dreamer was a surprise!

Aurora Maplefury

It's not bad! It just likely means you're more balanced in your approach to things, and might lean more heavily on one or another in specific circumstances or relationships. You can use the information here to consider how you react or approach different situations or people in your life, and see what might help you understand yourself or those situations/relationships better.

Cinema Therapy

Wow, that Thinker lesson... took me a while to learn. That humbling yourself when you're wrong is not only wiser socially but also smarter as that's how you learn from others.

Tommi Horttana

#1 Thinker and then tied for 2nd, Closer & Healer. Super interesting since initially seem very opposite

B

I had a hard time sorting the answers except for the ones for Thinker, so I don't think I can put much weight on the results there, and all of the descriptions resonated with me to some extent. It makes sense that I'm a Thinker with some aspects of the other three thrown in. Though as I Thinker I'm kind of suspicious about the scientific merits of this classification.

Tommi Horttana

I took the evaluation and my scores were literally 44-42-42-42. The 44 being Dreamer. What exactly is recommended for someone like this who's more or less even across the board?? Is this bad?

RhoBean

This was great fun. Wanna save the time stamps for laters. 😉 0:00:00-Over View/Test 0:09:09-Dreamer 0:21:10-Healer 0:35:50-Closer 0:50:37-Thinker 1:01:57-Application 1:17:10-Worth 1:25:38-“Inside Out”/Harry Potter

I watched a Mended Light video a couple days ago and I'm super excited for this!!
