Cinema Therapy Studios 2024 Film Pitches

CT Studios (us, plus all of you) is making a short film this year! And you (paying patrons) get to choose which short film to greenlight!
Just like a Hollywood studio, and real film writers, we haven't written the scripts yet, we're pitching you ideas of films to make. Once you give us the go-ahead, we'll write the script, start storyboarding and casting, and plan our shoot.
So, once you've watched the video, click on the Poll post below, to vote for the film you want the Studio to make this year, and be sure to join us on April 24th for the big reveal!
And if you're not a paying member, you can sign up to get to vote, even at the $2 tier (cheaper even than that if you sign up for the yearly membership!)
And stay tuned for weekly progress updates on the short. Things are really going to get kicked into high gear from here on out! Making movies is incredibly slow, until suddenly, once greenlit, there's never enough time to get everything done!

(I am *nothing* if not inappropriate. 😉) I was SO SURE after hearing the Unrealized pitch that the other two wouldn’t be my picks and then I was like… dammit… oh DAMMIT!! Y’all aren’t making this easy on me. The one thing I can hope is that eventually all three will get made, because they’re all fantastic. Ok. I think I have my pick. Sort of. Yes. Well… yes. Dammit.

Unrealized strikes me as a Devil Wears Prada for guys... the hero could take the manager position and be heavily over-worked (doesn't have to be a narcissist boss, could be corp policy), which leaves him little time for personal anything, let alone self discovery... his quest could begin with opening up some 'me time' and go from there. For Meet You, there's a great scene in Soderbergh's 'Schizopolis' where the only dialogue is stage directions, but delivered as the acting beats the directions indicate... it's very funny and could work really well with your AI concept. Could be filmed in the surreal steam punk style of 'Poor Things' with a retro feel for the days when your friends (or parents, god forbid) set you up. Seems like you have the most developed idea for both the screenplay and cinematic style of Ashes to Ashes. I vote for Meet You (Dating in the Time of AI)

Jono dramatically licking his lips is not something I will ever unsee on a trauma level 🤣. 3. I love the idea of the challenge of filming on the road for you guys. I'm sure it'll make filming for the standard show a little more complicated, but I love the idea for that story so much. Finally, Jono, Alan may have dropped the ball on Spice Girls, but I was dancing and singing right there with you 🤣. I'll be happy with any choice that gets picked!

Grief and complicated family dynamics also happen to be the themes I love listening to the two of you discuss most. Also… where is the short film about NYE 2003? Asking for a friend.
