However, I have a degree in psychology so I actually learn much more from Alan than I do Jono (who does an excellent job at applying concepts in ways I havent considered before). But because of Alan: 1) I appreciate movies, stories telling and the art of film craft much more because of Alan's insights. 2) I also appreciate how vulnerable Alan is about his own struggles, it makes Jono's insights much more powerful. 3) Finally, I appreciate having someone cry at the exact same things I cry at. My partner is a lovely man but by temperate rarely cries, so I find it validating to be crying with Alan.
