Identified Patient. I never knew it was called that. I have seen happen so often over the years in the workplace. Then when they push out or fire they start doing it to the next person who least fits in.

Happy holidays, folks! Thank you for all the work you are doing! Your videos provide me with so much support <3

I always felt the Home Alone family scene was a bit “nasty”, especially since everyone was only reacting to what happened in the previous millisecond before, which created this domino effect in that they all saw as Kevin being the instigator because they reacted initially to his (re)action. No one tried to take accountability for what their independent reactions did to others, and instead all went “well, if Kevin hadn’t attacked Buzz then I never would’ve done ” which pushes it away onto the scapegoat of the family. I’ve never seen Arther Christmas nor Elf (both of which I really should), so I don’t have any comments about those two other than they’re really good points.

I was *definitely* the scape goat in my family. Adopted, autistic, taller and smarter than everyone else in my family. I got made fun of constantly for being weird and robotic. This explains a lot. I appreciate you explaining this. I think I was holding the trauma of thinking I was the problem inside for a long time and I just released it. ❤️

Oh I would love to find a movie with my family dynamic to be analysed... Though honestly for the most part we have a great family dynamic. We are all crazy in our own ways and weirdly it works. Sadly we have one family member who doesn't want to join in the shenanigans we are all getting up to. (which is fine they don't have to and we will leave them to get on with whatever they want to do.) However they won't do the same and leave us to said shenanigans... What can I say, my family (apart from one) love the after dinner party games at Christmas. But thank you Jono for the tips, they may come in very handy.

The family scene in Home Alone always bugged me pretty much for all the reasons you gave, and it’s pretty much only his mother who really redeems herself, at least for me. The lengths she goes at in order to get home to her son are both hilarious to watch, and tugs at the heartstrings.
