Filmmaking Deep Dive Poll
Added 2024-01-06 16:05:01 +0000 UTC
I'm starting work on my next filmmaking deep dive, and I'd like a little direction from everyone on what you'd like to see/learn about.
I have a couple different ideas that I'm interested in talking about, so these may all end up as deep dives (comment below if there's one you absolutely DON'T want to see!) So this is mainly a poll to see which you'd like me to tackle first.
Also, drop comments below if there are aspects of filmmaking you'd like me to dive deeper on!

2024-01-23 00:55:09 +0000 UTCI´m a teacher in Germany and one of my subjects is called "Theatre and Literature" where the kids learn how to write and perform their own plays on a stage. On aspect is also making their own videos, so i´d love to have some insight on the power of editing (I took a lot from the deep dive about bad dialogue)

2024-01-08 22:30:40 +0000 UTCWe do indeed! But it’s more like, here’s a list of things I’ve directed. You can watch them. Less about scenes, more about the whole enchilada.

2024-01-07 06:27:36 +0000 UTCSuper excited for you to do your filmmaker history! I struggled to come up with a question for the Q&A sesh about that very thing but everything just sounded like I was trying to interview you for a job so I gave up. ha

2024-01-06 23:36:02 +0000 UTCThere might be something wrong with this poll. I vote but it doesn't seem to register. I love how Alan specifically asked us to tell In the comments what we don't want to see but because we are nice here we only list things that we ALSO would like to see.

2024-01-06 21:15:04 +0000 UTCLong time listener, first time caller. It's been a joy to observe all that Jono and Alan have produced in Cinema Therapy. As someone who has been massively impacted by their work, I hope I can speak for an overwhelming majority in saying Alan and Jono have done an amazing job. Really proud of you guys and deeply thankful that I've been able to see the work y'all have done. To infinity and beyond.

2024-01-06 19:42:55 +0000 UTCI’d be happy with any of these, but it would be super cool to learn more about your work and your directing philosophies (?) or what your “thing” is as a director. Maybe also just explaining what the different roles are in movie making, ex: I have no idea what a producer does that a director doesn’t… besides pay for everything, I guess? 😂😂

2024-01-06 16:28:00 +0000 UTCIt's not keeping my vote for some reason, but I voted editing.

2024-01-06 16:13:37 +0000 UTCThe Power of Editing would be my second choice but I will happily watch all of them.
