I used to watch him as a kid on Goof Troop when I was a kid, then A Goofy Movie portrayed him as a high schooler dealing with complex emotions, right as I was about to become a high schooler. Then the sequel film had him going off to college, right as I was about to graduate and leave for college myself. I've been saying for years, we need a new film where he's a middle-aged father, dealing with his own kid struggles like his father before him. Maybe he's the uncool one now, unable to communicate effectively with his Gen-Z kid.

Mulan is the young woman younger me wish I could grow up to become. This movie was so integral to my self-worth growing up in a non-Asian community
