CyranØ Assembly Edit: Director's Diary

It's been way too long since you got a Director's Diary about this project! So here's the latest happenings:

We have an assembly edit. Which is a terrible thing to watch. It makes you question all your decisions and whether or not you should even try to make movies. This is true of all assembly edits, not just this one, or just the one from this director.

In going through the assembly, we can figure out what we need to re-shoot (not really a possibility on this show) or we can fix with edit tweaks.

So, it's a really weird process that starts as heartbreaking, but ends up being really fun. Heartbreaking because it starts with identifying all the "problems" you created during the shoot. Fun because you get to problem solve, and build a whole different puzzle than you thought you were going to build, because now you have the actual pieces, instead of just concepts of a plan to have pieces. (sorry. couldn't help it.)
