Quick Drops Poll

Just checking in, we’ve been doing all our Director’s Cut releases as live drops (where you can all chat with each other in the comments during the initial release,) and we want to know if you’d like us to keep doing them for all the videos? Or should we switch back to just doing them when Jonathan and Alan can join in live?
This poll is part of our ongoing mission to figure out what the heck is going on, and are we doing literally anything right? (Hi, Alan here.)

I hope you keep doing the live drops. So far I have not been able to join in because I've had recordings for my own podcast, but one day I'll get there. Love you guys and what you do!

2024-06-17 17:04:34 +0000 UTCI'm self-employed for the most part and my time zone isn't too far off, so unless I'm meeting w clients or in the flow on something I usually can catch the director drops live. I actually watch them right after the live ends tho so I can focus on the video by itself and comment on my own time. (I do the same w most livestream stuff,more of a social anxiety thing than anything related to the channel itself.) Love love love the director's cuts tho, and I think having the live drops plus the countdowns builds a more active atmosphere around videos

2024-06-12 20:19:13 +0000 UTCI love throwing out thoughts real time, but I do sometimes feel bad when someone else joins much later so their comments are off from those of us who were lucky enough to be there from the start 😅. So I love the live drops, absolutely. I'll understand if the system changes for "the greater good," though!

2024-06-12 17:33:09 +0000 UTCI am sure I will be in a minority, but I hate the preannounced scheduled release items, both here and on Youtube. They get me excited, and then I find I have to wait another two to three days and I forget all about it. Maybe if you have a post after the drop finishes saying that the content is now available, that would be better, then at least I could tell my mail client to just delete anything with Latest Drop in the subject line.

2024-06-12 16:46:25 +0000 UTCThe issues about mobile only and Mondays during work hours aside, I actually prefer only when the guys are available because otherwise I can't tell which drops to prioritize. The notifications don't tell me whether Alan & Jono will be present, so I haven't attended a drop in a long time. 😞

2024-06-12 16:44:21 +0000 UTCI can't choose an option, because the drops are only available in the app, and the app is not available for PC. I could only watch the drops on my phone, which is a very poor experience, so ever since the drops I didn't take part in any live events. Quite honestly this is a decrease of the value I get on Patreon, I preferred the youtube live chats.

2024-06-12 16:35:31 +0000 UTCI'm new here, but The one live drop I found seemed to be only available on the app. I'm used to watching CT content with my wife as an event on youtube, which we can watch together on our TV which doubles as a computer monitor. Having to watch content on the app (which for us means a very small screen) just isn't appealing at all. someone correct me if I'm wrong

I realize that a lot of us are also at work, so I'm not alone, I just can't participate on Mondays. Fridays would be great! But again, I understand you want to get the most people at a time, so if they stay Mondays, i understand 🙂
