Cinema Therapy Studios 2025

So CyranØ is finished* and that means it's time to start talking about what we should make in 2025!

We've got some exciting options this year! Watch the video to find out what they are! And if you're current Patron of Cinema Therapy Studios, you'll see a post where you can vote on what we should do this year!

There are a lot of new members of the Patreon, and we decided that we’d like to give everyone a chance to pick where things are headed. If you’d like more details about Ashes to Ashes, and the submission/pitch process we did last year, scroll down the CT Studios tagged videos until you see them, around this time last year.

Thank you all for an absolutely incredible 2024. Here's to hoping that 2025 is even better.

*Finished being worked on. Still going through the festival circuit. It'll be awhile before it's fully public and everything.

Also, I apologize for the wild camera work. I was experimenting with an auto-tracking gimbal, and being zoomed in all the way on my phone. Last time I do that!

The Vessel!!!

Annette Bovey

I'm most excited about the feature, but all the options sound really cool

Danielle Dupuis

The Vessel!

Crystal_Randy

I want to change my vote to the feature film! That idea sounds super intriguing.

Nicole

The Vessel is my vote but I will love and support anything you do

KRYSTAL HOWARD

Votes can be changed at any time in the poll post 😊.

SaucyJTB

So I want to change my vote. After watching this and having had an experience with a speaking in tongues church for a little while. I am interested in making The Vessel instead of Ashes to Ashes. I'd really like to see what Alan and troup do with it.

Linda Herbert

📣👏🥳🎉🍻

SaucyJTD

We're cheerleading the best way we can XD

Marie-Soleil Cha

Absolutely. It also seems like Megan and Alan are working together to come up with some potential plans, too. I'm here for all the projects, and I'm ready to give any and all support I can 🤘.

SaucyJTD

A2A was the idea that gave me the clearest potential in the way it was pitched during the initial pitching period. The story seems solid from what I remember (which is what matters the most), and the cinematography to be explored was very very appealing. That being said, I think that budgets are a huge factor and I can understand if it limits the way this idea could be done. If the limited budget means that hard decisions would be taken, I am not convinced it would be in the best interest of the story. I also don't know what could be done to increase the budget. That being said, a feature film is also a huge commitment, but its limited physical scale could be a saving point. I am curious to see a more detailed proposal for The Vessel. I like the idea so far! I trust the pros, so I think I will let you decide. I understand that A2A was a crowd favorite, but I am hoping that there will be some flexibility from the patrons for this.

Marie-Soleil Cha

There’s a lot of horror potential in the feature film, I’m so down

Evan Linden

The Feature Film sounds amazing, but all of the options would be cool. Love you guys and your work!

Gwen Sampson

Oh, my little goth heart. Go for the feature film!

The Rose In the Library

After I emailed TPK, she deleted her own comment. We’re going to make A2A (a commitment is a commitment after all) it’s just a question of whether it happens this year or not.

Alan Seawright

Completely fair, on all fronts 💙.

SaucyJTD

Thanks saucy. I noticed that comment only now and read it. I get what Allan is saying. I just feel bad for TPK Ashes to ashes was so clearly important to her.

Seldanz_

There are a lot of moving parts here. Alan's response to Smidge's comment brings up some good clarifying points.

SaucyJTD

It was a HUGE oversight on our part. I definitely should have talked to TPK about this first. We do our best to be considerate, but there are many things going on all the time, and sometimes carelessness happens. Doesn’t excuse it (still wrong) but does explain it. Anyway. I wrote an apology email to TPK. Dunno if that’s going to be a case of too little, too late (I get it, it kinda is.) Tiny clarification: We didn’t delay her story *for another project. We delayed her story *and then made a different project, at 1/2 the earlier projected budget, so that we could make something in 2024. It wasn’t a question of favoring one thing over the other, it was simply “we can’t afford to make the one that got picked. What can we afford to make this year?” -Alan

Cinema Therapy

I hear that Allan is very excited about the Vessel but the right thing to do is to make Ashes to ashes happen. There shouldn't be any kind of voting about this. You talked trough whole last year how Ashes would be made this year. The Vessel can be 2026 project.

Seldanz_

I voted for A2A because I want already underway projects finished before getting excited about new ones. I say this as a cosplayer who, theoretically, -can- do every nifty idea I have, but have irresponsibly overcommitted to disastrous results in the past, often because those ideas involved others and THEIR time, passion, and devotion. I had no idea that TPK wasn't consulted before this development, and usually you guys are SUPER considerate. This feels off-model. If this was an inadvertent oversight due to overcommitment or a rush of inspiration, this sadly may be a sign to set more down, as it were. I know nothing about the inner workings of CT compared to people on staff, so I could be wrong (feel free to clarify my reasoning if so), but I'm worried. This was a -big- deal for TPK and her story already got delayed for one project.

Smidge

The Vessel! The Vessel! The Vessel!

Cole Lewis

THE VESSEL! I NEED a David film

Holly✌️

Auto tracking is fine when you're not clearly nervous and shuffling back and forth between feet. XD

Smidge

I love all the ideas but honestly, you sound so freaking excited about The Vessel and it makes me super excited, so that would be my ultimate vote.

Ember-Reece Richardson

I love both ideas 💡 I want Ashes to Ashes to be given the time & budget it deserves though. SO, obviously, we should take a swing & do The Vessel! 🫶 Love ya Cinema! (💛 Therapy too)

Shel

I hear that score. Go Caleb! I already said this on the poll, but I'm here for literally all the things. I've had zero regrets in becoming a Studio Exec because I really loved feeling even slightly involved with the process last time. I am so excited to see more of the filmmaking side of the house progress!
