We got rave reviews for our recent hyena video, but we also got a LOT of questions and comments (and confusion!) about one thing we didn’t mention: female hyenas’ pseudopenises. So we’re currently working on a video to get some accurate information out there about this crazy and fascinating phenomenon. We’re approaching this video with the same scientific rigor and straightforwardness that we approach every video, but that means that we’ll be showing hyenas’ genitalia and diving into some details about hyena sex, which we know might not be for everyone. We’re thinking we’ll include a short disclaimer at the beginning so viewers can tune out if they choose – does that sound like a good compromise to you all? Is there a better way to stay true to our mission of getting solid science out into the world while keeping our more sensitive viewers happy here?
