Book One 2nd Edition

While we go through Book 2, I am also working on the full novelization of Book 1. Think of it as a second draft or second edition. The new draft will start now and begin from the beginning. There will be changes to the story, new chapters, new characters, scenes, and dialogue. Some changes will be very significant, while others will be small.

This was always going to be the case with the story as we continue on. Currently, only Mage and Sorcerer Tiers will have access to these chapters, and unlike Wandmaker, these chapters do not have a release schedule and will instead release when done.

Note: This does not effect the normal release of other content! It also does not change continuity to book two.
Note 2: Mage Tier now has access to these chapters as well.

Changes To Chapters

New Chapter 1 Hatched -  The new chapter combines [1] Hatching and [2] A New Home from the origanal story. Has a new updated opening and slight changes to scenes and dialogue. It was combined to make all of Bjorn's initial experience one chapter.

New Chapter 2 Dorsehal Academy - This is a completely new chapter not in the original book which adds a day to the overall story. It gives characters Matthew and Julie more time with Freja before her father shows up. This chapter also showcases the Academy Freja attended as well as several buildings we never got to explore.

New Chapter 3 Social Decorum - This is a near complete rewrite of the original [3] Lord Father chapter. The new chapter show Freja taking Bjorn to see Ms. Dimii and a Tamer Specialist to determine Bjorn’s sex. After which there is an updated and more harrowing introduction to Lord Ulfar Salstar.

New Chapter 4 Failure of The Salstars - This chapter changes the original [4] Goodbyes. The new changes are all additions to different scenes as well as making the interaction between Freja and Lord Ulfar more visceral because the chapter is from Freja’s perspective. There's also the addition of Ingrid to give her more of a presence earlier in the story. I also wanted to make a reference to the "Sword of the Salstars" and "Shield of the Salstars" Titles.

New Chapter 5 Shai  - This chapter makes changes to the original [5] Dragon Repellant and Interlude [5.5] Dorsehal Academy, the latter of which makes it into the main story. The chapter also adds dialogue with Ingrid now that she is a part of the scene. The inclusion of the Interlude [5.5] Dorsehal Academy section is to add more context to the concept of a Shiagaunt which some people didn’t understand in First Edition and to highlight the difference in cultures between other species and wendigo.
New Chapter 6 Rage and Agony - This chapter replaces the original [6] Broken and marks the beginning of the most significant change from the first edition while this chapter adds more interactions between Freja and her mother; its most important change is with Bjorn. I won’t spoil it but if you remember this chapter and how it originally ended you will pick up what I am putting down. From this point to the end of part one the story will have significant changes.

New Chapter 7 Hope I Can Swim -  This chapter combines [7] Night Is For The Monsters and [8] Hunted. There are changes to dialogue and slight changes to events along with new descriptions. Some scene changes and updates as well.
