The first photo here was taken by professional photographers at CERN during a break from filming. I guess we made them wait too long, because when we turned around, they were using their colored LED lights as light sabers to fight each other, while I was interviewing a scientist in front of one of the largest detectors at the LHC.
CERN mentioned there would be a photoshoot in front of ALICE during our tour. (I love that the A in ALICE stands for..... "A." - (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) The “photoshoot” ended up being, "can you pretend to take a selfie?" I didn't just pretend. :)
I'm really excited to share BTS stuff like this, and stories on Patreon, but I'm most excited to experiment with what Physics Girl is all about, find new opportunities to interact live with you all, to hear your opinions and ideas for what could come next, to break up the daily churn of putting out content with new formats and series within the channel.
My long term goal with Physics Girl is to promote a passion for STEM, and I’m glad you’ve joined in on that!

The usual and the deep dive with detailed math and all. Just for really offbeat topics like say surface tension, raman shift, spectroscopy jablonski diagrams, what’s a molecular orbital...really?, thermodynamics, band gaps in photo materials, Nano particles and quantum dots.....
