When (date wise) did you guys travel to the Arctic and when did Dianna get COVID? Did her Long COVID hit her right away or weeks later? I have read that some people will experience COVID as a mild or moderate illness and appear to recover and then, later on, LONG COVID hits like shingles does to ChickenPox. Is that what happened with Dianna or has she been super I’ll since she was first infected?

I am a little surprised at your comment about batteries; back in the 70s & 80s when I was doing a lot of SLR photography at high altitude I had to be careful to keep my camera body (and thus its battery) warm or I would lose half or more of its lifetime, and the lens dry (I carried lots of lens tissue.)

2023-01-21 01:25:05 +0000 UTC(Levi typing) Yeah there was a lot of prep for the Arctic! We didn't really have to get a new camera or anything really big. But quite a few pieces of equipment to help me have a system. And tons of backup. But basically, the extreme cold isn't an issue for cameras, it's the moisture. So to spare you the whole process, I basically had a system of having an inside camera, and an outside camera. With sealable plastic bags to transport cameras in there specific temperature, so that no moisture may condensate on the inside. It was really hard work, extremely stressful, but very rewarding. Her, and I, have considered making a video about "how to make a video in the Arctic". Maybe even just for socials would be cool. Thanks for the question! Hope I answered.
