Does anyone of you heard about PatreCon 2018? I just received an invitation and I'm thinking to fly to Los Angeles November 1-3 for the conference. Have you heard of it? Is it worth it? Would you come to take a picture and talk to me in the event?

If Patreon was wholly against adult content... well they'd get a lot less business. The convention probably has a family friendly rule like comicon. This convention is one of their marketing strategies.

But you're probably right, maybe a HentaiCon is impossible because animation and cartoons are too attached to children.

2018-08-23 14:30:18 +0000 UTCYeah, but I figure attendance would be a little lower due to some people afraid of being photographed at a straight up Hentaicon. Subtlety is key to drawing a big crowd; cosplay or comic conventions would be the crowd most likely to attend a hentai artist's booth.

2018-08-23 12:59:12 +0000 UTCProbably not worth it. You'd most likely be better off with a touring convention that hits population centers like Atlanta. That would give you a chance to expand your audience. Corporate conventions like VidCon and PatreCon cater to a certain audience and disallow pornography; both CEOs of their respective companies clamp down hard on pornography as is.
