Taking way more time than expected
Added 2020-10-30 01:46:28 +0000 UTCLast month I said that I was going to publish the changes in a few days, what I had in mind was the character on the sofa, there were some issues(skin weights, deformations), and some details to fix, I thought: "Hmm, maybe an add-on for rigging will make my life easier", Auto-rig pro, so I ported the character and used it for weeks, learned how to use it and realized after some time that some things weren't actually easier than using rigify(the add-on included by default on Blender), in fact for using corrective "shape keys"(used to properly deform the character when it moves, like limbs), another add-on on top of that is required. The workflow to modify tiny things it's less convenient and slower, so I went back to rigify
Aside from all of this, for some reason in Blender you can't apply modifiers to 3D objects if those have "shape keys", why? idk, lucky for me I realized this early but some changes had to be made
The end of this month came and I'm pretty much where I was I month ago, but knowing where some pitfalls are located. I guess it's better than nothing but I'm deeply disappointed on the progress I'm making, as some ppl might be. I'm sorry. I keep going
Here's a shotgun I modelled for the character. It ain't complex by any means nor high quality but I like it and has been super-useful to learn about objects/accessories for characters
I hope I can give you more interesting news soon, Patreon is paused while I'm dealing with this
Thanks for being there :)
See ya soon!
