Thanks for the response but yep, it seems simple but then I'm stuck with the slices in the 'Zone' section made from the transient of the original sample I used when making it. I want the slices to be equally distributed with the MIDI notes... hmm
Maybe you can save the whole thing as a 'slice to new midi track' preset? I'm not sure

I think you can just drag and drop a new sound on, or use the sample hotswap button inside Sampler.

Hi Ned, you’re the first patron I’ve subbed to! I've been really liking this technique of using sampler, creating a chain with separate instances randomized. I’m hoping you can help with a problem that I can't seem to work out.
Say I take my drum loop. I slice it to a new Sampler midi track. Now, I painstakingly take the time to create such a chain: one instance of NORMAL, one for REVERSE, one for PITCH MOD, one for, SPACE ECHO ALIEN ZAP for example.
My question is: now I have my chain with various instances of Sampler, with different effect parameters on each, but using the same sample. Now I want to change the SAMPLE used in the sampler (while keeping the parameters the same: normal, reverse, pitch mod, space cloud.. etc)
For example, I have the amen break, but might want to switch this out for an entirely different break sample, so each new instance has the same effect (normal, reverse, pitch mod, spacecloud, etc) but just on a different sample.
Please let me know how it is possible to swap the sample while maintaining all of the 'effect' instances I've created what if, like in your video, you wanted to keep all the effects you’ve made in the chain, but use them on a completely new drum loop/sample that is sliced up - I know there is probably a complicated extra step with the slices that I'm missing.
Thanks a lot in advance - have a good day!
Cheers -Blair
