Video Suggestions
Added 2021-02-02 10:45:52 +0000 UTCHello everyone. Thanks for your continued support. I hope to continue to deliver high quality content to fuel your creative lusts, although sometimes I get stuck for ideas so since you're all parting with you hard earned to keep me occupied, I think it's only fair I offer out the platform for you to make your own suggestions for videos you'd like to see. I can't guarantee I'll do them exactly, but they all get buried in my subconscious and sometimes emerge within the realms of what you suggested. I sometimes rewatch old videos and find them painful so some I may revisit some and make them more slick. Here is a list of ideas I'm considering myself.
1. Top Favourite VST plugins.
2. Ableton and the Octatrack and the Octatrack and Ableton.
3. Ableton to modular and back again.
4. MaxMSP to modular and back again.
5. The gen~ chronicles (for the super nerdy)
6. remake that classic jungle video with an audio interface that actually works.
7. Generative Acid basslines.

actually i like the idea you started with „Top VST plugins part…“ the first part with Glitch2 was great to me and the fun fact to see how different it can be used too. each of us has different ideas and ways to work with plugins and to me it´s always super interesting seeing and learning new ways/paths to work with. i hope this will find interess here as i think we can expect some nice videos and laughs with you :) cheers!

2021-02-04 04:49:00 +0000 UTCIf I have to choose from the list I’d say Max and generative / but I hope you’d lean into Max / live in this scenario- some of the above can be done in any DAW, but the thing that separates Live from everything else is it’s generative and probability related to Max for Live. Maybe I’m only thinking of myself (I just purchased Max a couple days ago) but I think that would really make your niche. I’m also keenly interested in a Daw to iOS connection (either IDEM or Studiomux which I’m currently beta testing) — or something like MIRA communications with Live etc but that’s def going down a rabbit hole...

2021-02-02 17:20:03 +0000 UTCIn order of preference: 7. Generative Acid basslines. 6. Remake that classic jungle video with an audio interface that actually works. 2. Ableton and the Octatrack and the Octatrack and Ableton. 1. Top Favourite VST plugins.

2021-02-02 14:08:36 +0000 UTCwho is Barry?
Ned Rush
2021-02-02 14:01:05 +0000 UTCHey! I want more videos of you and Barry! Videos where you and Barry visits record shops, talking fake beats, exploring ableton, testing out weird plugins, ect. Whatever! I just want you to make videos with you and Barry! À lot of them! https://youtu.be/rTWMSMiETkA

2021-02-02 13:52:00 +0000 UTCDefinitely 5 & 7, and (off the list) there's bound to be scope for productive craziness in some of the new Live 11 stuff. I'm thinking of how you might work with the revised follow actions, generative possibilities with the new random settings in clips, and (who knows how) fun ways to play with comping. Also, it'd be great to see you take on mods for the M4L LFO, tuned for generative MIDI/sampling.

2021-02-02 13:11:48 +0000 UTC5 & 7 please mate! Although I imagine a ~gen video is not for everyone, Id like to learn how to use it!

2021-02-02 12:27:47 +0000 UTCI'd be happy to take a call with you to show you how I do it. I think a youtube video about how to make a youtube video might be too meta for my tiny brain.

2021-02-02 11:54:44 +0000 UTC3 and 4!!!! between modular and ableton. also i loved that recent "ok boomer" video. Simple enough idea to do on my lunch break, but enough of a nerdy deep dive to hold my attention. thanks man

2021-02-02 11:48:02 +0000 UTC7 would be great. I'm not a big user of plugins or Max, so prefer content which is "cool stuff that can be done just in Ableton" but appreciate that's not what makes you you. Anyway, love the videos, keep going!

2021-02-02 11:29:34 +0000 UTC3&4 definitely. I don’t see a ton of videos on those in general.

2021-02-02 11:29:00 +0000 UTC+1 for generative stuff.

2021-02-02 11:28:45 +0000 UTC+1 for generative acid baselines. Some kind of ableton live set building and performing tips/strategy video - like the excellent one from your sample pack series, but geared towards longer/more varied performance. Like a breakdown/how to of one of your MKTF sets, for eg. Would also be interested to hear about any workflow/production challenges or lessons learned from working on your current album(/EP/thing). Thanks for all the cool stuff!

2021-02-02 11:28:28 +0000 UTCWould love to see you tackle more slower tempo / hip-hop electronica... I know you have done a Lo-Fi hip-hop and BoC video but I'm thinking more on the side of early Prefuse 73 and Dabrye.

2021-02-02 11:18:34 +0000 UTC100% would love the generative acid basslines idea.

2021-02-02 11:16:21 +0000 UTCTotally boring for many, but I'd love a 'how to do your own youtube channel thing. I'm a fan of the punk aesthetic of your vids; theyre not full of post-internet lolz editing, they're authentic. What gear do you use? It'd probably be really short and boring for most people. Maybe I should pay for a zoom session instead! Where to start with building in max for live would be cool. As in not started in max. I'm sure there's loads of stuff out there already, but I'd rather watch your channel. Other than that, maybe more creative stuff, as in songwriting, for want of a better term. The recent little m4l devices are sooo good!

2021-02-02 11:08:13 +0000 UTCHi Ned and thanks for always bringing nice and inspiring content. If I am not wrong you never touched the granular topic. Am I right? That would be really interesting from my point of view.

2021-02-02 11:06:08 +0000 UTCPersonally would love 7 & 6, and would be interested in 1 too. Love acid, and the Classic Jungle Youtube was the gateway drug for me! Anything involving rave / breakbeat hardcore would be awesome.
