Drum Rack Buddy - Max For Live Drum Rack Sequencer

Hello everyone. So, let's see if I can do one Max For Live device a day for the rest of February. It starts here with the Drum Rack Buddy. I might try and do one every morning. This was a quick job. Took me about 2 thirds of Oliver Harper and Rob Hills commentary of The Terminator to make it, so it was speedy. Controls should be laid out on Push. Download attached. Have fun and see you tomorrow.

Great idea!

Many thanks and glad you're enjoying. Try mapping an LFO to the */ number boxes and get modulated sequencer rates. This one seems to have done quite well so might develop it and make it better/commercial in the future. Appreciate the feedback.

one of the sickest plugins ive ever seen. does just what I've been wanting forever, which is make a way to quickly generate tuplet MIDI patterns and toy with them. The timing even changes with the time signature. too sick man, too sick

This thing jams. Love it with breaks chopped into 8 regions.

James McIntosh

This is fantastic man you are a fucking genius

Etienne Stehelin

This is fantastic! I didn't get the appeal of step sequencers when I started with Ableton (when you already have session view and piano roll), but I love them now. Less is a lot more. And the poly-rhyth-whatever of this one is next-level!

Interzoneboy

Not sure I follow but sounds interesting.

Oh wow, this is amazing. This should be an alternative view to Live’s MIDI Clip Detail View. Can you make one that represents the length of the last selected clip in the same track? So if I create an 8 bar loop, the step sequencer represents that.

Till Richter

Again, this is why Ned fucking rules

What a great idea!!
