Reworking This Patreon (Maybe)

Nothing is absolute. But, I've been having some thoughts about reworking how this patreon works. Just throwing out ideas and seeing how they stick. I would really like yall's input on this too.

First of all - Tiers:

Scrap all the tiers except for the $5 tier.

The $30 tier rewards would be removed and will not be replaced. And the $10 tier's rewards will be moved to the $5 tier. Leaving only the $5 tier available.

I've also had the idea of adding a $7-8 tier (or a new $10 tier, still thinking about the logistics of these pricings), which will include 10% off my Commission Prices and the ability to be a Beta Reader for some doujinshi projects and such. It sounds like a good idea to have Beta Readers to see what people like to read and being able to bounce ideas off some people would be nice.

Secondly - Payment Intervals:

With the prices of the tiers being lowered in general, to compensate I think I would like to change it so you patrons are paying per month instead of per Big Project.

The problem with my current Patreon model is that you guys are waiting months for only a few Illustrations to be dropped. When I could just post them directly to Patreon, instead the way I'm doing it just backs up everything for a "big release" that's honestly underwhelming.

By removing the whole Themed Illustration Pack and just making that public to all tiers, what this will do is make it so there are consistently more images and illustrations per month on this patreon, instead of having to wait 1 or 2 months for me to stockpile a drive folder for you guys.

I'd be aiming for about at least 1 drawing/sketch/wip etc per week or 3-4 per month with this new change.

Thirdly - Big Projects:

Now what about the Big Projects, like doujins/comics? I still want to make them, since there are literally none out there for CJ and stuff like that. But, the thing is, I don't want to just have them public in this new patreon model. Mainly because 1.) They take a lot of energy and time to produce. and 2.) there are some pirate sites out there that have mine and a lot of other creator's patreon posts just out there for free.

To combat this I'm keeping with the idea of DMing the big projects to patrons. I'll set up a date for people to pledge by and if you're $5+ tier by the time payments go live, you're gonna receive the reward.

This is all hypothetical, but I think this will be an improved change to the Patreon. If we do go along with this new system, I'll make a new announcement in regards to it, so you guys won't be caught off guard with it. I'll take a few weeks to think about this new system and at the earliest, if I do decide to change it, the changes will go live on May 2022 at the earliest.

That's it for now, pls tell me how this potential change is. What do you like about it? What don't you like about it? Anything I can add? I'll probably make a poll or something to also gage how you guys feel about the changes I might implement.

Kind of because I'm happily at the $30 tier at the moment, but I would like to say that it would be nice if you kept a few higher tier slots that came with a art each month too. I know there are generally people on most Patreons that have that option that always fill those slots up each month, eager to get a monthly private reward.

I think as long as you can maintain a steady output, then changing to monthly would be fine. If anything it makes it easier to plan how much I can allocate to artists if its a consistent expense. If there's a risk of it becoming a chore, or you potentially falling behind and feeling bad for not delivering though, then imo I think it'd be better to stick with pay on delivery so that you can create at the pace that works for you
