Playing H3VR Script
Added 2019-10-14 12:54:26 +0000 UTCNo notes on this one, this video got really out of hand and the lack of notes was something that wound up biting me in the arse.
I figured I was covering a game with no story and well, it's a roguelight, all my videos have massive titles like "H3VR weak round pistol bayonet round ejected by wall". So at a glance I'd know what weapons primarily feature, and since I knew in the script I'd mention round ejection I could get that footage easily for that part of the video, this did not work.
Rounds last from 20-40 minutes typically, 45-50 if I am playing very well, and due to my addiction to the game, after gathering footage, I kept playing and recording while writing, voicing, and editing the video, I wound up with over 15 more hours of footage than when I sat down to write the video, I had so much trouble picking footage for this video and it was a bastard to find anything, that naming system I had was a very bad substitute for logged notes.
I know some folks in the discord who want to start making their own videos, if you want to skip note taking, and I can understand why, it is a very dull part of the process, just know, it's better than losing hours of time over the course of an edit hunting down the seconds long clips you need to illustrate your points.
