The Status of SimRealist

You might not know this, but I'm like most of you. Those who do not know much about coding but love the Sims and what the Modding Community has done. I had this grand idea of having a bank in the Sims, but no one wanted or could do it (that I could find). So I said to myself, "I work at a bank! I know a little more than the average bank customer, all I need is someone to help me with the code!" So that is what I did, and that is how I found Lukman.

He helped me realize all my typed up notes and spreadsheets into what the mod is today. However, with that help came a cost. Thus my idea to start a Mod Fund. I figured I'm not the only one out there that desperately wants certain things in the game that hasn't been supplied by the game creators yet.

But now my heart is filled with sorrow because I have to inform you that we are putting SimRealist on pause. An incident in regards to the credibility of our coding has arisen. This, in turn, has left us without a coder. So until further notice, all creation and support will be put on pause. This includes the creation of Private Practice.

I'm sure you are probably either disappointed or pretty upset but know that I'm right there with you. I've put a lot of time and money into the creation of this project. I had all these grand ideas and goals in place for what SimRealist would become because it was going to be bigger than just SNB and Private Practice. But credibility and trust are something that I value highly. So if I have to wait awhile to realize those dreams, then as a friend once said: "so be it."

Again sorry for the disappointment. I know a lot of people were excited about Private Practice. For this inconvenience, if you are a patron, I'm looking to refund all funding that went to the Mod Fund (this might take a moment because I've already sent a portion to go to the creation of Private Practice and SNB addons). I just ask that you remove your support on Patreon so that you don't get charged on March 1st. I'm also releasing SNB 1.3 with as stable a version I can get for your use for FREE. Just know that there will not be a support base available. (If you would like to maintain this mod through patch updates or work through the entire SNB project, please contact me privately).

Thanks again for all the support you've given through your words and/or patronage.

Much Love,

Nichole

Thank you so much for your support! It means so much to me. Crossing fingers and praying for a new coder soon!

Wow, you are one of my top 10 favorite creators...I am more than upset...but I have the patience and faith that things will work out just fine and you will be back in full force...know that I will still support you when you return. I look forward to it!!! God gave you a passion for an awesome gift of creating and it shows in all that you do...Keep dreaming and journal your creations! Much love and admiration!!!

Yes, you would just unzip the attached file. It will then produce two files, the base mod and the feature update. Do not unzip any of the script files.

Thanks so much! Sorry for all the questions, but is the installation the same as most mods/compatible with macs?

The updated mod plus the feature update is attached to the post 😊

That's so sad to hear. I've just been introduced to this mod and was really excited to download and install it. Is the original mod still available somewhere, or are you waiting till you resolve the issues before releasing more content?

Thanks! I hope so too!

Aw man😒 I was really excited for this mod but thanks for adding realism to a game that was lacking it badly. I believe you will find someone that will help you in the future☺

Things in life rarely go as we plan, but I truly believe they happen when they rightfully should. It's disappointing, but you shouldn't give up. I'm sure you'll find your way to your vision, even if it takes a bit longer then you thought it would. I'll be waiting for your return and I wish you the best of luck in achieving your dream. Thank you for your hard work till now.
