Board Notes - June 2018

Here is this month's summary of what's going on behind the scenes (what we are working on and what we plan on doing). As always, I am completely open to suggestions on what we can do to make SimRealist better! And I also take in what we are doing right ;-)
- Mod Fund: As you know, we've made a change according to a patron poll to a Per Creation/Mod charge instead of a monthly charge. This will allow those months in which no content can be produced because we are still in development or out of a mod cycle. So each charge will just payback the cost of development and the running of SimRealist. What you will see on the Mod Fund page at the end of each month that there is a charge, is a progress bar of how much was paid back for each mod. That way you can get an idea of where we are at in our goal to have every mod funded.
When we get to a point in which we are developing routinely, we will
go back to a monthly format. That way it benefits both the patrons and
SimRealist. Right now we are just getting started, so per creation is
best for all.
- Private Practice 0.5: We are currently at 32,000 downloads for this version! That's literally three times as much as the last version! I will be sure to get a final count in next month's Board Notes once we switch to 0.6.
- Private Practice 0.6: roBurky has made a lot of headway with this version. We are hoping to release this to Visionaries next week!!! As I mentioned before in the Per Creation post, I will let you know beforehand when this is going to happen so you are aware and can anticipate the charge.
- Home and Land Co: This project is still on hold at the moment. I'm working to reorganize or change up our initial approach to this mod. Will let you know more in next month's Board Notes.
- InstaFresh: This mod might end up being more of a coder project, so we are going to switch from a CC Artist lead to a Mod Developer lead. What that means is that since we already have a lot of projects going at the moment, we will have to put this project on hold.
- Organic Beauty: Merman Simmer has officially taken this project as the lead CC Artist. This will require some code work and roBurky will be looking into this soon to see how it can be implemented. Once we got a solid plan in place, I will post some of the items that we are aiming for in the first version ;-)
- SNB: Since we are on a quarterly cycle with Private Practice, we have the ability to work on other mods. This mod, SNBank, was a financial/bank mod that we initially launched with in January. However, we had some coding issues which caused us to close SimRealist temporarily. Due to popular demand we are bringing this mod back, but from scratch. So a lot of what we had before might not be available in the first version. roBurky will be working on this after he finishes Private Practice 0.6.
- R|E: This will be another new big mod that roBurky will be working on after SNB. This mod will bring in the ability to own and manage property within the Sims. Property will be abstract, but the management, expense and income will be managed in a UI for the user to maintain. It gives the impression of owning property without the actual negotiation between what is available in the code. More on this once we cement down the features proposed.
