CODE UPDATE: Private Practice 2.2.0 (PRE-RELEASE)

Hello Everyone!

The weekend is upon us and now also a Private Practice update. We've updated this version again to address GTW illnesses occurring during the custom illness immunity period. 

Now the only thing you need to be concerned with is that your Sim could have a bacterial infection as well as a viral illness. Those are two different things that can result in two different diagnosis and medication at the same time. If your Sim continues to be sick, please be sure to send them back to the doctor to confirm their diagnosis hasn't changed after a few days. That way you are treating your Sims with all the required medication instead of only addressing one illness. 

If your Sims feel uncomfortable, that is a warning that something is developing. It could be they need to take more medication for an existing diagnosis or one that will need to be once symptoms become visible. 

Remember that medication doesn't completely clear illnesses. They usually alleviate symptoms for a certain time until the illness goes away naturally.

How to Install

VISUAL GUIDE: Private Practice - How to Install (this is for the Public version but still applies to Patreon versions)

TEXT GUIDE:

New User

• In-game, go to 'GAME OPTIONS' and then 'OTHER.'
• Make sure the "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed" boxes are checked.
• Exit game (or make sure to Save and Exit if in the middle of a game)
• Extract mod
• Place the .ts4scrpt, .package, Careers.pack & Data.package files found in the downloaded folder called SimRealist_-_PrivatePractice (Mod Files) into your Mods folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods)
• Remove the pre-built venues files that you would like to have into your Sims 4 Tray folder. You must remove them from your folders and enable Include Custom Content in your Gallery's filter in order to see the pre-builts you loaded in.
• If you would like to keep it in a folder, only place it one subfolder deep!
• Restart Game
• Done!

Existing User

• Exit game (or make sure to Save and Exit if in the middle of a game)
• Remove any SimRealist Private Practice files
• Extract mod
• Place the .ts4scrpt, .package, Careers.pack & Data.package files into your Mods folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods)
• If you would like to keep it in a folder, only place it one subfolder deep!
• Restart Game
• Done!
