She Killed This!! Reaction to Lisa "ROCKSTAR"

BLACKPINK's Lisa is a K-pop star, a ROCKSTAR, a shooting star...you name it...she's got the total package. This is her new solo song "ROCKSTAR" and she just absolutely slayed this one! YouTube has blocked this reaction, so we'll try to post it with a video overlay, but posting this unfiltered version here for our Patrons.

Agree with you 100%. This didn't need to be anything else. It was Lisa just being Lisa. And that is more than enough. It's making us very anxious to see what the solo stuff from everyone is going to sound like.

This song is so Lisa. Hard and in your face. Maybe not the most lyrically driven song in the world (half of it is just the chorus) but does every song have to be? No. This is just Lisa showing off and having fun and we are here for it. It's not my favorite Lisa song (Money is still nr 1) but it is a certified banger. That MV is no joke either. Jennies album will be coming soon, she says, and Rosé has signed with the Black Label so I am assuming she will be dropping something soon as well. This is going to be crazy! Loved your reaction as always. Coach.....I was right there with you the first time I saw it.

That is truly fantastic. Good on her for acknowledging her homeland in this fashion. So many messages in such a short video. Art like this can be impactful on many levels. And 17 year old Coach would have been a match for Lisa. Not sure I could keep up now. LOL

"Made me pause at 17 seconds." More like at 17 years old. ;) I liked this right away but didn't know what to make of it. Here's the explanations I've gleaned. Lisa rented the whole main street of China Town in Thailand, all of the dancers and extras are Thai. Her saying "Lisa can you teach me Japanese?" is because non-Korean Idols are often thought to be Japanese or Chinese, plus Lisa was deliberately identified as Japanese early in her career. The girls with the white hoodies are another remark on how most of the world thinks all Asians look alike. The pretty women just standing there are trans women, the guys at the table are from a famous motorcycle gang, and they have tatoo's. She's saying "This is Thailand!" I told you way back that Lisa faced racist attacks when she first debuted, but, ever since, she's been adamant about letting everyone know she's Thai and proud to be so. This is a great song, but it's also an homage to Thailand. She deserves all the respect for not just abandoning her heritage, but constantly bringing it into her work.
