Career of a Hedgehog

 Hot off the hills off finishing his 4th Main Mega Drive/Genesis title,  Sonic the Hedgehog goes to see the Sega Bosses to discuss their future  plans. As Sonic walks down the hall of the Sega offices, he thinks to  himself, "Wow, the Mega Drive/Genesis games were fantastic! My legacy  will be remembered forever!". Sonic smiled at that thought, as he was  responsible for many gamer's first and finest moments. Sonic finally  reaches the head offices where the Sega Bosses were waiting for him.

"Welcome Sonic!" said Boss one. "Please take a seat."
"Thank you." replied Sonic, as he sat down.
"Right, so its time we discussed your next game." said Boss 2.
"Yeah, I cannot wait to be in a Sega Saturn game! That ll be awesome!" said Sonic excitedly.
"Erm, yeah. About that, we want you to star in one more Mega Drive/Genesis game." said Boss 1.
"Sonic 5? Oh my god, that's just as good!" smiled Sonic.
"We re not calling it that, its called Sonic 3D." said Boss 2.
"Oh, well it ll be nice to work with Sonic Team again."
"Ah, they re not developing it." said Boss 1.
"Wha-?"
A TV switched on showing footage of Sonic 3D.
"Well, it looks alright, but after Sonic&Knuckles, its a bit of a downer." signed Sonic.
"Don't worry! Its only while we get Sonic X-treme ready!" said Boss 1.
"So what do you have planned after that?" asked Sonic.
"Well, we ll get your first Saturn title ready..."
"Yay!" cheered Sonic.
"...With Sonic Jam!" finished Boss 1.
"I be your pardon?"
The TV Showed footage of Sonic Jam.
"Why is there only 1 level?" wondered Sonic.
"Oh, that's the 3D Teaser thing. We re packaging it with your Mega Drive/Genesis games!"
"But don't most Sega fans have those games, and what's wrong with the sound? Its incorrect in places."  Sonic asked.
"Porting stuff. As for owning the game, we ll be adding some new Easy and Normal modes!" said Boss 2.
"Wow look! You re doing the Spin Dash in Sonic 1!" pointed Boss 1 in amazment.
"That doesnt really justify rebuying those game." said Sonic.
"Oh well,there's your 2nd Saturn game." said Boss 1.
"Sonic X-treme?" wondered Sonic.
"Nah, we canceled that. We re porting Sonic 3D to the Saturn!" said Boss 2.
"What, why?"
"Development hell." said Boss 1.
"No, why port Sonic 3D to the Saturn?" asked Sonic.
"Ooh, we forgot it on Sonic Jam, so we ve improved it a bit to justify rebuying it!" said Boss 2
Footage appears on the TV.
"Its not a great deal better." said Sonic.
"But its better!" said Boss 1.
"So, my Saturn career's just ports?" asked Sonic.
"Nope, you ve got a new game." said Boss 2.
"Finally." signed Sonic.
"With racing fun in Sonic R!"
The TV played Sonic R footage.
 "Well, guess its alright. Music's catchy though." said Sonic. "But its a  weak showing after the amazing Mega Drive/Genesis titles."
"No  worries, we ll make it up. We working on the Dreamcast afterward, and  you will be starring in your own Launch title!" said boss 1.
The opening cutscene to Sonic Adventure plays (Do remember, those sort of FMVs impressed folks back in the day).
"Wow, that looks really amazing!" said a delight Sonic. "That's worth going through a nuff time on the Saturn!"
"Well said, now get out there and just get through those Saturn titles!" said Boss 1.
"Yes, thank you!"

Sonic  left the offices with the promise of a Dreamcast launch title in his  sights. Okay, so it would mean a not so great Saturn career, but as long  as his Dreamcast adventure wasnt filled with glitches, bad mouth  movements and rerelease on a Nintendo console, surly he was going to be  alright?
