End of Year Update!

So we made it, 2021!

I think it goes without saying, this was a rough year for everyone whether you had your own personal troubles or not and while we're not exactly out the woods yet, hopefully 2021 can be the road to the healing process towards some form of what we knew as normal. 

As you may know, my father had a stroke back in August and had some real life changing events that came with it. Not just my dad's recovery, which he's just about back to his old self, but also for me personally to man up a little, shake off some of that anxiety I had back in 2019, and really aim for a more secure bubble for myself in the near future, as the shock made me realize we're at that point my folks won't be around forever, so I need to be ready should the worst ever happen to them. We got relitively lucky as only my dad's left limbs got affected but next time that might not be the case. 

So my main aim for 2021 is to wipe out a tiny bit of debt I have and create that money bubble to fall on for emergencies and so on. 

That said, even with my anxiety about how a certain pandemic might effect the Patreon income in the long run at the start, a large majority of you stuck around and I thank you so very much once again. It means the world to me during one hell of a scary year. I know content wise, this was not as outgoing as other years but I promise your patience will be rewarded in due time. :)

As it stood, we actually managed to stay around the average of 80-ish Donators for most of the year as well, which brings me to the next aim for this year, hitting 100 Donators at one time and beyond! I'm sure we can do it! :)

And in related news, we even got out first annual donator just a few days ago! A feature I might of forgotten to mention but yes, you can donate on an annual option now and get 1 and half months free for a 12 month sub! Pretty cool right? ;)

We also finally finished the Classic Upload backlog which has taken way too many years. With that one, I made Wednesdays more my day off/anything goes day which from a reliving stand point has done wonders! Whether it be relaxing, working on something that'll be posted a lot later down the line or catching up on a delayed Monday/Tuesday update, it has eased some stress from this year and even helped relaunch New Character Sunday and Fanfic Saturdays. :)

But I tink one of the biggest additions has to be the new tablet! 7 months in and it continues to work wonders and even improved my art a fair bit as well! Pricey yeah, but it worth it. 

So what are my art and fanfic aims for this year? Off the top of my head, I'd like to;

1. Complete more personal projects- a small pile of commissions outside of Patreon did kind of backtrack my own ideas from being done, but now with most of them done bar a few acceptations, this year I want to draw as many of my own ideas as I can. :)

2. Catch up on the Patreon Rewards much more- Goes without saying. 

3. Finally complete Rocket Corruption at the Speed of Light- The aim is this month. Not a lot more to go but this has been around 2 years in the making. XD

4. Have at least 6 issues of the upcoming Metrobay comic at least inked- Am about a third into the first issue. Still a long path to go but it will be worth it in the end.  

5. Return to some unfinished Projects- off the top of my mind, the Bidoof Bitch Suit and Alola Girls Shower. 

6. Colour way more New Character Sunday sketches- I mean its about time right? 

7. Start a new fanfic- because it can't all be about the Rockets. XD

8. Continue to improve- The tablet has done wonders last year. The only way is up on the ol' art skills right?

9. Give the Patreon homepage a tune up- Nothing drastic, a little coa of paint on the little things lke the words on tier rewards, perhaps some tier icons, and so on. We'll see about the banner.  

That said, I hope at the very least 2020 produced some artworks you enjoyed or helped you get through 2020. Let me know your favorite uploads from last year in the comments, as well as your requests for this month if you're on a $7 or more tier. ;)
