Sibling Rivalry: The One About Body Image

As a 40 year old woman, this episode really spoke to me. I agree so much. You spend so much of your life feeling bad about your looks, and pursuing this ideal, only to look back at old pics and realize how much better looking you were back then. The lesson is, even though it’s hard, you have to love yourself for what you look like now, cause as you age, it’s all downhill! 🤣 instead of looking back and thinking oh I was so beautiful back then, try to appreciate your beauty in the now.

This was one of my favorites. I loved that Bob touched on how being at a lower weight or thinner didn’t really make life easier, make him more successful, etc. I also really liked when he talked about how if someone gains weight back those compliments on losing weight can come back to make them feel bad.

Dumpling

That was EXHAUSTING.

As someone that lost weight, that compliment cuts really deep. Now I’m afraid of gaining weight because that means I get treated less than I will now. I really try not comment on anyone’s body. It messes with your head and how you view yourself.

Both of these have been highly recommended to me, omg I need to finally read them!!!!
