Another series using the mirror as a frame - honestly my comfort zone. Do I even have to explain why I chose the first one as my favorite? Well I will anyway. The frame cuts the mirror in half, and me with it, which at first glance annoyed me. But there was something about the photo that drew me. The longer I stared at it, which was quite a bit, the more enchanted I felt. There’s something off about it. In a good way. Like, it gives an eerie feeling, aided by the cut off frame and face. Carter in the foreground feels otherworldly, almost like a ghost, looming over the camera. I want to know what he wants. The halved mirror adds to the mystery - gives us a glance at what he’s looking at without revealing too much. These are the things that came to mind while examining the photo. And the funnest thing is that this was entirely an accident. I missed the mark. And it turned out to be my favorite frame. The rest of the photos are wonderful. But for personal reasons. I love taking photos with Carter.
