Hi patrons!! Roll labels are insanely convenient because you can easily grab and go, as opposed to fiddling with a sheet of stickers, but they're actually surprisingly expensive to get made. A while back I went ahead and made my own roll of circle stickers at home (very easy and convenient) so I figured I'd share the process as I made a new roll!
I get my circle labels from the brand OnlineLabels (the ones I'm using today are 2" circles) -- they have a good variety of sizes and they're very affordable. OnlineLabels has their own template designer, which makes it super easy to pop in a design file and have it automatically fit it to the specific kind of label. From there it's just a print and go! I currently have a Canon G3260 printer, and for these specific labels I print as matte photo paper, standard quality, and borderless printing. I use my guillotine cutter to cut the full sheets into strips, put two small pieces of tape between strips to attach them, and roll up the strips to put together a roll.
All things considered it's a really easy process and it has saved me a lot of money compared to getting labels manufactured elsewhere!! Plus, putting together rolls like this makes it really easy to make as many or as few stickers as you need. I have a roll of ~1000 stickers of my icon that I use for orders, but for this new design I made about 120 labels. Super easy and super convenient!!
