Commission Question
Added 2019-07-09 01:03:00 +0000 UTCI love drawing the human figure, but am utterly bored by drawing backgrounds, which makes painting them like pulling teeth. When I get commissioned to do a piece with a background, it honestly slows me down a lot, and consequently limits how many commissions I do. Despite this, backgrounds are sometimes really invaluable in really making a piece excellent, and some drawings just NEED one.
So, given all the above, I’ve been considering farming out backgrounds to a quality artist when a commissioner wants one. The question is: would you prefer more frequent and plentiful commission slots with any backgrounds done by another artist? Or, would you prefer less of a chance at getting a commission, but with me doing the whole thing? Please answer only if you anticipate wanting a commission from me.
