Burnice White - Zenless Zone Zero

I planned to draw Shiori next but the day I posted Nerissa is the day Burnice's trailer is released and I must say I am impressed. I thought I should draw a quick artwork to catch the trend right now so the plan for Shiori is moved to the last piece ( I'm gonna draw her right now) sorry about that.
Well, that is the plan but unfortunately, I shouldn't have tried a new technique on this piece that took 10 days again. But I must say, it was a GREAT run! It has been so long that I can draw with passion so even though it's very tiring, it's fun.
In this piece, I tried to draw without doing line work. There are no line layers because I colored everything on sketches. But I still want everything to look clean and clear so I have to render every color part in this piece. Only the hair part I can't do anything but I look better that way. Caesar and Lucy are colored using the old method so to be fair, it doesn't look that different. But by having one piece done by this method, I can feel more confident on making more pieces like in the future. Because there is no linework so It will unlock more tricks with light and value that I want to test more in the future. I'd better show it to you in my future work but for now I am satisfied with this result. More room for research !
This piece leans to the pretty side so the lewd part is not that much. The time is short so I will make full lewd on Shiori set next. Let's look forward to it.
P/s: This angle is hard because every detail was pushed to the bottom while the up is just blank sky. Same problem when I made Cynthia in this angle last year. But this time, I added some text that covers that space so even though it's not related, the overall piece is completed.

Yeah, the strong point of this method is that I can describe the material and detail better but it will require more effort on rendering so well... I have to get used to it somehow. Thank you for your compliment. I hope this piece is interesting enough after a while just repeating myself. If you like the hair then I will try to apply it more then. I was afraid that the hair was a mess because of this method haha I will see you next week with Shiori. This is testing is interesting !

I personally love your from below angles, I really like the Cynthia piece you mentioned and I like the depth of the background in this one, with the different layers of structures receding into the distance. I really love all the colors in her outfit and something about her hair looks so incredibly soft here, like I want to reach out and run my hands through her hair. The texture of her jacket really stands out too, you can feel the difference between her jacket and her top and skirt, or of course the texture of her skin. And the hair. I really like the hair. I think between that, the sassy nature of her expression and her pose, and the nice view, I'm really enjoying this piece. I'm doubly glad that you enjoyed the process. I think it came out wonderfully and it's awesome that it fuels you going forward as well. Thank you for your hard work! 2024-10-26 08:02:24 +0000 UTCTo be honest, I need to test it more to say if it's faster or not because this time it's just taking the same amount of time as usual. Without any line, it's very hard to render detail because it doesn't have a clean shape so I have to adjust everything while coloring it. I am thinking of a method to combine both but it needs to be tested. Overall, I can say it's faster because it took nearly 4 days just to sketch this piece ( got dragged outside again) but only 2 days for the main character's color. I will try again on the Shiori piece then we can have better results. Anyway, thank you ! I will try better in my next work.

The detail on her looks good, especially her outfit with all the shine and fold. The pose it great too! Can't go wrong with upskirt shots lol. And the beautiful city background finishes it all off very nicely. Good job all around!
