Hello! It's been a while... 4 whole months have passed with no New Day content! Thankfully, we've got a massive gameplay update for the Patreon members today, and a not-so-massive but neat little update for the demo users as well!
Please note that while this build has been rigorously tested, it may have a few bugs here and there. Sometimes, those things just slip through the cracks! We hope you all have fun with this new content.
( Bug-Fixes )
Fixed the bug that would allow babies to be edited in the islander creator, which would cause them to own their own apartment and instantly turn into an adult.
Fixed the bug that would allow islanders to hangout at ghost islanders apartments, which didn't exist, which caused said islander to vanish forever.
Babies will no longer have an apartment.
Islanders will now toss their baby out when they grow up, instead of keeping them forever.
Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow babies to select any trait past trendsetter.
Fixed a bug that would favor occult islander babies over regular, human babies.
Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow babies to spawn with the newer in-game hairstyles.
Fixed a bug that wouldn't allow babies to become non-binary and would always choose female if their gender wasn't set to male.
Fixed the bug that would cause the memories panel to incorrectly display memories if it was scrolled too far on.
Islanders will now teleport away (with no gameplay reason) if they're too close while speaking.
Fixed minor programming error which allowed (They) to be shown when a paranoid islander asks to befriend another islander.
Fixed an issue that would cause "problem" notifications to appear whilst an islander is asleep.
Islanders can no longer "fall asleep" if you're inside of a befriending/unfriending cutscene.
Islanders can no longer "change problems" if you're inside of a befriending/unfriending cutscene.
Notifications will now vanish if they hit the middle of your screen instead of continuing to spawn forever.
The lighting in every scene has been adjusted/fixed. Your islanders should always now have the same skintone no matter where they are.
Lowered rate of islanders wanting death.
The minigame for bringing an islander back to life is now fixed and should work properly/will no longer softlock if you wait too long.
Fixed a bug that would cause babies to vanish if you edited and saved their parent in the Islander Creator. This also fixed a lot of "I forgot my memory" bugs.

Updated trait icons.
Added a "tween movement" effect to the Tooltip Menu.
The effects that come out when clicking will now only have a 50/50 chance of appearing.
You can now enable/disable islander animations while editing makeup.
You'll now see the building name that you're hovering over.
You're now able to view any room in your apartment instead of the main 1st room.
Apartment icons now show what problem the islander wants you to do, such as gaming/love/regular.
You can now see which apartment you have selected.
Added a small note on family members in the Islander Creator.
Updated notifications.

Added more wings to the Fairy creator.
You can now purchase and activate ordinances from the Town Hall.
Begun to add an island with water. (This is currently in its prototype phase.)
Implemented a "dark mode". (This mode is unusable in the Islander Creator for various reasons.)
Revamped Bingo and added it to the main game.
Revamped the Town Hall entrance to be more in-tune with the final product of the game.
Improved the games programming base to stop the main issue of lag -- the island scene.
Revamped the loading screen.
Revamped the settings screen.
Revamped befriending cutscene.
Revamped unfriending cutscene.
Revamped the introduction sequence.
Added a new minigame -- "Card Roulette" -- which can be found at the Town Hall.
Added a new minigame -- "Toasty Takes Flight" -- which can be found at the Town Hall.
You can now adjust the ceiling texture of your islander's apartment in the Room Editor.
You can now skip time for 1 hour on the island scene. (This may take 3-8 seconds in total.)
Replaced the old apartment model with a stylistic new one.
The apartment UI has now been revamped to fit the games artstyle.
The randomize functionality now works in the Islander creator.
Nature whisperers will no longer become ghosts and instead, will do something else upon requesting death.
You can now gain tent islanders on your island.
Exiting the Islander Creator now sends you to Toasty's office.
More floors/walls were added to the Room Editor, along with pride flags.
You can now delete your islanders.
A phone has been added to the island scene with a ghost app to accompany it.
The island now cycles through a nighttime, daytime and sunset segment. It's very basic for now, but in the future, there'll be tons of unique things to see in the sky.
The games "adopt a baby" system now uses the randomizer system for the game. This might be buggy, so be warned.
Added "The Docks" with a new fishing minigame that you can use to earn money.
Changed the way birthday months work as they're now "seasons" instead of months.
A prototype feature known as "clubs" have been put into the game, but they're not functional as of yet.
Your islanders can now level up and be gifted accessories, shirts, and pants. Outfits are currently not in the game!
Now that this update is out of the way, I bet you're all wondering "When will New Day be available for the public to play?!"... in-which, I'll respond with "Later this year." That's right! New Day's public update will come out in Late 2024, which will allow all players to experience the game, albeit with some buildings still locked behind that V.I.P Patreon role until the final games release!
