Cynthia - Work in Progress
Added 2023-12-14 08:45:10 +0000 UTCIt has been 7 days so I will update some progress for you guys. With the low angle, I want to try the front view this time. I failed a couple times with this view back then but this time maybe I nailed it. Also, I am using the new color palette this time and trying to research more on hard contrast shading that is used very much lately. My usual way of coloring is fine but maybe I used it too much for 3 years so I want to challenge myself and give you guys a new wind ! Actually I want to try this early this year but the deadline is just extending forever so until now I can have a chance to do something. This indeed cost more time and effort so even though I wanted to give you guys a clothed version, I didn't make it in time. I will try to test this way of color on a single character piece to understand more about it. With multi characters, I will use the usual palette because I am not that good yet. Hope you guys will like what you are seeing.
By the way, I am going to have a trip to a big city in order to buy some stuff and heal myself. The trip will take me 3 days so I will try to finish this piece after I come back. I will try to finish and post it in 21th Dec if there is nothing going wrong. After that, I will use last 10 days to draw Hololive set and we end this year.
This trip is pretty important for me because my health keep going worse. Doc said I should change my life style and go out more but I can't do that with this kind of workload. But since the rash hasn't healed lately I need to go to a bigger city and rest there because if I stayed at home, all I can think about is deadlines and work. It won't work that way. I hope I will be better after meeting some old friends and losing the stress for a few days.

It's a very late reply but thank you ! I am back with fully healed both body and mental. Changing palette means changing pretty much everything I usually work with but I need more improvement so it's time to do this. Actually I want to do it earlier but with my level back then I can't make any goods with it. Beside I don't have much time to try on each piece so.. I am glad that I made it now. I will try to make more pieces like this next year. That should be the subject I want to research next ! Let's look forward to it !

Cynthia looks beautiful. Something about the way this is shaded makes the shadows feel a little more shadowy. I really like the colors, too, this has a lot of potential. And of course, I love your usual style already, so I'm happy to see you experiment with one way of coloring for some pieces and do the others the usual way. Whatever works best for you. Rest well and have fun!
