Breath of Fire IV Spritework
Added 2016-09-05 03:34:54 +0000 UTCSo, this morning I happened across some amazingly well-ripped BOF4 sprites. I did a few mockups (which I might post later), but then I decided to try to do something more indepth using in-game backgrounds, etc.
Unfortunately ripping backgrounds from PS1 games is 100% harder than Genesis/SNES games. You can't turn sprite layers off in any emulator (as far as I know), so you have to edit the sprites out by hand. Not impossible, but more of a pain in the butt.
But, I managed to put together this short re-telling of one of the opening scenes of the game, where Nina first encounters a naked Ryu.
