November 1st

-[Spicy 🔥] Author's Choice: Unlucky Union

Mal honors your surrender by claiming more of your personal space. 

Water splashes around your ankles from their decisive step forward, both of their hands on your damp form and sliding lower. They tease nothing, only holding your gaze with a piercing intensity that you'd never be able to look away from. It would be unwise too, a betrayal of an innate sixth sense. Mal rests their thumbs along your hipbones, their fingers fanning out along your ass.

That's all the warning you receive.

Our awaited Mal POV that's set on Halloween night featuring intense spice, danger/horror elements, and insight into them. 🔪👀💔

November 3rd

November 6th

-Violent Delights 😏🥂🖤

They hardly glance at the shot glass set in front of you before addressing the bartender, Gabe, who's been on stand-by, often lingering close to fulfill any requests. "Whose compliments?" R inquires.

"That [gentleman/lady]."

When you turn your head to locate your admirer, who lacks baseline intellect, R hooks two of their fingers around your pre-purchased shot. It's in between where you're both seated, clearly visible to all. "How sweet," they note with a derisive curl of their lips.

Finally! Finally, you're going out for drinks with R. Verner. Remember when they floated that idea by you ages (only a few weeks) ago? You've agreed, but it seems someone in the bar lacks the awareness to see this is R's time with you. The Verner heir might have to 'help' them.

Possessive R. Verner POV? Yes, please. 😏 But what if they're yearning for you too...?

November 11th

TFS Q&A Session (🌲🍂)

"Question: "Which mother in law would be the worst to be walked in on by? I'm guessing Mrs. Dorran is the best."

I'm loving how we've collectively agreed that Mrs. Dorran is like the mom from Mean Girls:

She certainly seems so (unless you're romancing R, then there's mild concern for both of you given what she's observed.) We'll learn who's the worst mother-in-law for this situation.

November 14th

-Surprise #1: Seep Cake Recipe

This cake is moister than spriggan soil, and I believe you'll remember your Returning Visitor's feet sinking while in its lair, yummy! 😋 It's a moist chocolate cake with a hint of cinnamon. The icing goes on while the cake is still warm for that 'seep' effect. This is an older recipe that Mrs. Dorran could easily whip up; it's perfect for the holidays!

November 19th

-Hidden Affection 🥺🧡🎭

"…Two unfortunate souls in our midst?…"

B quickly snaps their head in the direction of an antiquated (and poorly French accented) voice that's seeping from creaky floorboards. They were trying to isolate the wires these creepily floating candles must be hanging from except they're invisible to the naked eye, possibly motorized to be ever so slightly bobbing. B is standing near this boutique's entrance while you admire its ghastly Venetian mask window display. 

"…Now isn't that just the pits…"

Why is this person rhyming?

Dragging your best friend along to a boutique costume store to get their opinion/approval on your outfit makes sense, right? But when this place is invite only and that invitation came from your... partner? Fling? Person who's making a dent in the wall that backs up to their room? B isn't sure what you and [Alicia/Alistair] are to each other! They're trying to be supportive.

TFS Q&A Session (🌲🍂)

I'm still narrowing this one. I'm leaning towards how all of the ROs handle being sick + cared for by the Returning Visitor. It's getting chilly in many places, so that sets the stage for it. The reactions/dynamics can be both adorable and worrying. I'll decide! 😌

I might uncouple this depending on how far I get, but I'm motivated (and excited) to roll our Author's View into this Preview. Rather than sharing a behind-the-scenes look at scene stacking I've cooked up, you'll get to play it! I altered something to add a series of scenes that range from romantic (making out with R somewhere if you can trigger it) to upsetting (A's feeling left out and got into it with J) or brutal ("How very bloodline of you." @ R while you're... romancing them?? 🙃), etc. I expanded the section in a few distinct ways.

Our Preview is going to be drawing on nostalgia and likely be emotional.

That^ all depends on you/your MC.

The focus is your Returning Visitor/their disposition, Fernweh gang time/interactions + bonding, a rare consequence that links to Book One, tense/intense scenes based on Mal's route being active alongside another one (if applicable), and more. This section has a lot of scenes that can swap in for others based on your choices. I'm eager to give you a chance to hunt for those differences. (I might include hints about them too!) 👀
