From the dark chasms of fable and fairy, it emerges. In the cold shadows and endless nights, it thrives. The umbra flounder is a being defined by chaos and driven solely by hunger. Its stomach, however, is doomed to remain as empty as its gaze, for nothing can fill this hollow abyss, cursed by its own insatiability. Ancient books tell tales of the umbra flounder – of ravaging raids when it escapes its somber prison to slip into the light. And although these bewitched tomes belong to a time before time itself, their stories still echo through the world.
