Book Deal
Added 2022-03-28 22:08:28 +0000 UTCSigned a book deal with Aethon, pretty favorable terms. Lot of people had mentioned wanting a copy, and it should be pretty chonky at 850 pages or so. Could potentially provide me with enough additional income to spend more of it on fostering cats, commissioning artists, or improving my living conditions. Definitely at least two of those three, because I'm a responsible adult probably. Aethon said the project was ideal for TV and movie rights, was going to push to Amazon and audible and paperback as well.
Requested that the Amazon portion not be KU or require exclusivity so that I won't be required to discontinue posting public chapters or remove anything already posted up on the various sites. All of my readers have already moved mountains to support me and swapping the fic out for stubs everywhere really would make me trailer trash.
Working steadily on both a normal chapter and a special chapter for April. Cats are okay. Winter randomly got drunk and showed back up with several more inches of snow. Go home, winter. You're drunk.

Since Patreon basically consists of a contract for you to post your writings, if they try to make you take down or stop posting chapters, you could probably back them off by reminding them that’s you and by default they could be held accountable for tortuous interference with a contract. Patreon already got hammered when they blocked an artist from their patrons and literally thousands of his patrons filed for arbitration, costing them millions just to go to arbitration.
