Feel free to look up 'anyways' in the dictionary. It will tell you that is not a proper word but a common English error. Hope you don't take that as a complaint, it's just a minor correction... as I said, I love this series! Also, because of Sandy's young age, Tabby might want to do what I would in her shoes. Make her 'Aunt Sandy' that still honors her as an adult mother figure without making her seem or feel old. Heck, I'm 8 years older than my oldest nephew! The one who's 14 years younger than I am calls me by name 'cause I couldn't handle being called 'uncle' at 20, when I first saw him after he was able to talk .
