Song titles and artist names are always okay, but lyrics are almost always NOT - it kinda seems like the only fair use case for song lyrics is when you're doing analysis of them. There's no, "But it's a very short bit," fair use exception for song lyrics. See if your publisher can get permission to use the excerpt - because it really appears to play a key part in this chapter (which unfortunately makes any "incidental" use argument that much weaker. Talk to a lawyer - ideally one specializing in licensing copyrights.

Apparently that author ran into copyright issues for the song lines. I’m not any kind of legal expert qualified to judge what is or isn’t acceptable but I’d hate to see you run into those kind of problems with this chapter. I really like the chapter so I hope you don’t have to change it.
