This months free gift was the Poison Apple Cookie Cutter, perfect for making some spooky snacks just in time for Halloween!
The print takes about an hour to complete and may need a flame slightly running over it to remove any stringing, but then you'll be free to start baking with it straight away. I used a really light coloured chocolate chip mix and added about 1 tablespoon of liquid red food dye to it, which produced a really vibrant red colour even after they came out of the oven.

I chose to make a cookie slab instead of dough balls because I wanted good sized cookies but the cutter can always be resized if desired. Before baking I chilled the mix in the fridge for about an hour to stop them spreading in the oven.
I chose to use the cookie cutter straight after they come out of the oven as the dough is still really soft which makes it a lot easier to cut, it is however more likely to melt the filament, but the great thing about 3D printing is that you can always make yourself another if it does.

I tried 2 different methods of applying the frosting, I used a mix of green and yellow gel frosting which I spread on with a small spatula and green roll-able fondant which i also used the cutter for and stuck to the top of the cookies. All that combined in roughly 2 hours you could have these awesome Poison Apple cookies sat in front of you! perfect for Halloween or everyday Disney themed snacks!
See you in the next post,
