Our next character this month was the tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff, its Winnie The Pooh, now available to download below.
The test prints ran smoothly, with a well placed drain hole to the underside of his belly. He should be fine printing on either resin or FDM since he has no small areas, but the bees wings unfortunately probably won't survive on FDM.
I printed the ornamental version with Golden PLA, which has become my new favourite filament lately, his patterns have come out really clean and sharp and although the supports were an absolute nightmare to get off (heads up), the model has come out beautifully and I'm really happy I decided to opt for FDM instead. It even managed to print the bees antenna which was a really nice surprise!
I've printed him at 12cm tall, which is a little shorter than Mickey to account for him being sat down, he's turned out a pretty nice size to go along with the rest of the collection without looking out of proportion. I eventually plan to add all of the animals from the hundred acre wood to our collection, including Lumpy! I'm also really excited for all the baby versions coming to the Disney Baby's mini collection.
See you in the next post,
Harley
