Trick or Treat?
Added 2022-10-24 22:59:25 +0000 UTCWe're kicking off the Halloween celebrations with a nod to the oldest trick in the fairytale book! our first free gift of the month is this awesome poison apple candy couldron perfect for storing all of your tasty treats this Halloween!
I've printed mine with my standard settings, using regular PLA since I'll only be using it once, but for long term use if you don't actually want the contents of your couldron to be poisonous its recommended to make it food safe. To do this replace your brass hot end with a steel one since these don't contain any iron, wash the print and then seal it using a food safe resin such as Alumilite clear cast, this seals the gaps in the layer lines and stops bacteria from building up between them. Once cured it should be completely food safe, and you'll be free to fill it with all of your spooky sweets! Use it as a center piece for your Halloween party or just leave it on your desk for snacks throughout the day, whatever the use its sure to make a fun decoration for the Halloween events!
I've filled mine with a mix of sour jellys and liquorice for a good trick and I've added in some lovely chocolate eyeballs for that extra Halloween treat! I'm going to leave it out for any wandering trick or treaters, although I'm not sure there'll be any takers, I mean would you trust anything with a poison apple?
