If you're looking to add a touch of Disney sparkle to your Christmas tree this year or even just brighten up a space at home, our Mickey fairy lights are the perfect addition, now available from the downloads post. The Mickey heads will fit any size led fairy light and can be rescaled as required, they can be printed in either transparent filament or clear resin in order to create a glass like appearance, and will add a lovely subtle glow to any space when they're finished.
I've included some instructions below! Coming next I'll have another little add on for the release of our next character, along with the character intro out later today! ...be prepared!
I used standard battery operated purple LED lights to create our fairy lights so any size LED's will be fine, the caps take about half an hour to print and as mentioned can be upscaled and downscaled as required, so I ran a few test prints on our Bambu to start off with, just to make sure they were the right fit before printing them in resin.
I then printed them in transparent resin, cured them and gave them a quick sand down to make sure there were no support scars.

Next I painted them using a paintbrush and some pink alcohol ink, they look quite red in the photo but they're definitely pink in real life.

I then sprayed them with Liquitex clear gloss and when they were dry, they looked completely see through, even on our clear ones. Finally I attached them to the fairy lights with a blob of hot glue on the tape above the light itself and hung them up using command fairy light clips.
They were super easy to make and have really brightened up my work space at home. I'm going to be making some multi coloured ones for our Christmas tree lights so I'll post an update from that in a few weeks.
