Tense feeling

Next one finished! No for real, sometimes I start so many projects at once and don't finish any of them, but everything is like 80-90% finished. I try to not rush it and don't let my schedule get messed up in the first place, so that I only upload good art, but that's another story.
This wasn't rushed and I am quite proud of it. I don't draw him with this expression often enough! I like this serious expression and the tension its giving off. To be be honest, this one should have been kind of an experiment, to get out of my comfort zone - one of my goals in 2024. But he turned out so good, that I leaned onto old habits. At first I wanted a super dramatic look, like just black and blue, but as I said, the linework turned out so good, that I decided to make it a bit lighter overall.
But I still went full monochromatic in this one. I don't really know what to expect when I say "experimenting" in art, but I guess it's a slow process. Do you have any challenges that you want to take on in 2024? Tell me about it!
