The more you see IU’s stage performances where, especially in her ballads, she is just completely controlling the pace of a song - and the band adjusts (particularly her encores)…she does the same with her acting. She is never in a hurry. She gives nothing more than she believes is needed. Just like her singing…the beauty is in the subtlety - with every detail being deliberate. It is really amazing.

One of my favorite character types in shows and movies is the one known to be a bad actress/actor. Since you have to be a good one in order to play a convincing bad one, and sort of play both at the same time. Having to act "normally" when playing the character outside of the acting role within the show and then acting "poorly" when shooting a scene within the drama itself if that makes sense. Love me some act-ception lol, and Nara does a good job at it playing Yoora here. I also enjoyed her role in Itaewon Class and she was also one of my bias's when she was in the girlgroup Hello Venus.

The ritual with the pig's head is for good fortune with the brothers' new business. I found this online; "In Korean culture, there is a tradition of placing money in the mouth and ears of a pig's head during a shamanistic ritual called Gosa. The ritual is intended to bring good luck and prevent misfortune, and is often performed when starting a new business, moving into a new home, or buying a new car."
I wouldn't have cried at this normally, but as soon as you start, I start 😭 What a pair lol

FYI, Dong Hoon doesn't have the slightest idea right from the start that her wife was cheating on her. That's why he's that shocked when he finally discovered. That's how innocent he is on processing things around him.

Yu Ra is my favorite character in this. She is honest, straightforward, and knows the truth. Her tall, graceful beauty and warm smile remind me of Dreamcatcher Jiu.
Korean culture is a shame culture when compared to Western culture which is a guilt culture. Morality is situational and as long as nobody knows about your shame then it's not a problem. As Dong-hoon often says, 'it's nothing'. The worst thing that can happen to a Korean is to shame their family or be shamed in front of their family. This kind of culture, where the goal is to always have perfect tranquility on the surface, puts tremendous pressure on it's people and when a Korean snaps it's truly spectacular. The show is a slow burn as it slowly ramps up the pressure on the main characters. Wait for it.
You should watch the Viki version if you can. The subs are much better and they also translate the songs which match the show's themes perfectly and are heartbreaking.
